We had been having problems with toilets backing up and sewer water coming up in one of our showers for years on and off. But the sewer water in the shower was the final call. In came the plumbers and a camera that can look inside the lines. Well the very worst case scenario that could be is true, and we have to replace all our sewer lines. We have four bath rooms. When you buy a house I always thought that the most expensive thing was the roof. Not true. This will cost more than twice what our new roof cost. Apparently sewer lines have a shelf life so to speak and ours and probably our neighbors is up for our tract built in 1964. Today work started digging up my garden in the front of the house. In the agreement signed the plumbing company will not pay to replace plants !!
Oh gosh, expensive AND inconvenient. I hope it doesn't take too long.

ReplyDeleteThank you Bovey and Sandra, it adds to the general stress for me but I know all will be OK in the end. At least our house and horses are alright in the face of the wild fires.
