We have had new boarders come in to the ranch and one of them has a mare who foaled. The foal was not born at the ranch, he was born at a vet clinic as this is a first foal. He is a week old. Lots of excitement has been generated, as this has not happened at the ranch for a very long time. The sire is a reining stallion and the dam has the classic Doc Bar lines. So an all around cutter, reiner and cow horse foal. The sire is a red dun.
Very pretty mare! –Michelle
ReplyDeleteSo Typey hey !! It is amazing how the breeds differ in looks.
DeleteI love duns - she has a lovely head, and what a sweet foal.
ReplyDeleteYes a sweet natured mare for a first timer too.
DeleteExciting! You will enjoy watching him grow up.
ReplyDeleteI think we all at the ranch will be interested in what happens to him. He is probably destined to be a "reiner"
