Doug's Mom my mother in law finally passes

Ginger passed away on Sunday  just before midnight. About a month ago her caregiver had said she was on her way out.  Then we got word that she had a few hours and she hung on for a week. Her quality of life was not too good in the end as she was unable to move much. But she still had her own teeth and her hearing was great. Three of her grandchildren made a special visit to see her one last time.  Doug and I will be traveling up to her house to sort things out.  There is an entire building full of her stuff as well as the contents of her house. We are in the LA area and she lived where I used to live in Fort Bragg, Northern California, which is about ten hours drive north for us. Family will be taking care of the horses and our house and cat while we are gone. I will be interested to see my old "home town" again.

Dasha and Tandy

Dasha has been working a lot with Tandy, finding time from her busy work schedule. Tandy is getting better and better and has come a long way from when we first met him over a year ago and I innocently thought that I could lead him. I had to let go of his lead rope, he was crazy.  He has what we call an "alpha" personality,  he was used as a stallion before he was gelded at age three. The goal is for Dasha to feel comfortable and confident riding him after being thrown once and bolted with in the arena. Doug who has nerves of steel, rides him three times a week with me on Coco.

Selling my mother in laws stuff

The label says Harry Cooper, who was he ?

Bright green and heavy nubby wool.

Family members hurried to be at Ginger, my mother in laws side. Her care giver thought she had just a few days to live. She is 104 but still OK, lucid and singing along with her favorite Frank Sinatra on the TV.  That was abut ten days ago. The family members decided to bring, some of Gingers possessions to us. So I  have a vintage lot of clothes, including a mink stole !!! some were custom made. and jewelry. Probably dating from the 1950's  Above is a coat that I put for sale on ebay.  May be some one wants it, we shall see. It is something that I would never want be seen in.
