Doug's Mom my mother in law finally passes

Ginger passed away on Sunday  just before midnight. About a month ago her caregiver had said she was on her way out.  Then we got word that she had a few hours and she hung on for a week. Her quality of life was not too good in the end as she was unable to move much. But she still had her own teeth and her hearing was great. Three of her grandchildren made a special visit to see her one last time.  Doug and I will be traveling up to her house to sort things out.  There is an entire building full of her stuff as well as the contents of her house. We are in the LA area and she lived where I used to live in Fort Bragg, Northern California, which is about ten hours drive north for us. Family will be taking care of the horses and our house and cat while we are gone. I will be interested to see my old "home town" again.

  1. I can see how she got her name :) Sorry to hear this but she was a grand age, and how lovely she had several of the grandchildren visit her recently. You and Doug will be kept busy sorting her estate out.

  2. Yes she was a fire brand a double Leo and refusing to move closer to us.Although her real hair color was not ginger LOL. We are exited to finally settle her estate, and help one set of grand kids buy a home. I also want to look for her pair of staffordshire dogs.
