Diary 6 California

Monday, December 16, 2013

It rained for almost a whole day so no work was done on the pool deck area. But then we had very high winds and everything got dry fast. All the metal has been put in the back of the truck to recycle. I have planted a corner where the deck was with Chard, lettuce and garlic.  Today we are going to get some black plastic to put in the pond. It will look more like a fish pond if it is dark colored .

About Me

My photo
Marlane
In my seventies, I am a native of England.I was born in Hereford and came to the USA in 1974.I live in Simi Valley California. I became a widow and remarried . I have two children in their 40,s. I became a Grandma in October 2019. I lived for 40 years in Northern California, near the city of Santa Rosa, and for 25 years in the community of Fort Bragg, California. My husband missed the climate and his family in S California, we sold up and moved our horses and ourselves looking for a place to buy.We could not afford a house with horse property. We decided to board the horses and buy a house with out land. I have been a horse person for most of my life. I was an exercise rider of race horses in the UK. We have three horses of our own, and one belonging to my step daughter in law. We ride frequently. I have a business making horse pedigrees. I have a page on facebook "horse pedigree" I am also an artist and paint mostly landscapes. I enjoy gardening very much and here in this climate, I also enjoy the challenge of getting the plants that I love to grow. I had my own gardening business when I lived in Fort Bragg. I am happy to hear from you picturepedigree@outlook.com
